The Retarded Thread: Malice Metro Edition

  1. This was my first experience with an ssri

The only "positive" effect was that it makes everything seem like its not as big of a deal as it really is, which unfortunately includes suicide

It makes me feel sick all the time and gives me bruxism. And it turns me into a zombie. I don't want to do anything but stare at the ceiling and that just ends with me thinking of all the reasons I wanted to kms in the first place

    can't drink on it either
  2. I see why a lot of mass shooters were on this shit

If you were that way inclined in the first place, this stuff could make you think "oh it's not that big of a deal"

    All these feelings from Zoloft?
  4. I think so, but it could also be my general disdain for how my situation was handled still talking

    It’s an SSRI?
  6. Yeah

Look into Viibryd. If they truly think you need an SSRI, viibryd has way fewer side affects. It’s good for anxiety as well. It was developed to try and avoid the sexual and weight gain, side affects. I’m no doc, by any means, but i know it works for me.

yeah, my understanding is SSRIs are only particularly effective on people who experience bipolar-like effects, ie. their emotions are unstable and spike/dip unpredictably - it 'averages' them out and brings them closer to a baseline.

if your main issue is constant depression, SSRIs may potentially help you a little by raising that baseline but it's unlikely to make a significant difference.

SSREs are promising - if you can still get T-PAIN and can trust yourself not to party hard on it, it's worth doing therapeutic doses (check what Russian doctors prescribe, it's used fairly widely there) to see if that helps you out. I don't really know about your specific case so I couldn't say whether therapy, finding goals etc. would help, but that's an obvious option.

I'm in a similar boat; I use tramadol to stop myself from contemplating the next step but it's not an ideal solution and brings its own problems to the party.

It’s relatively new, like the last 5 years at least. Supposed to work well for MDD.

Vilazodone is a novel antidepressant combining the mechanisms of action of buspirone and SSRIs.

Vilazodone was superior to placebo in all efficacy measures, but was also associated with a higher risk of side effects.

it's no longer advised as a first-line treatment due to significantly higher rates of side effects than any other common SSRI. be careful going into that one.

I'm starting to think tianеptine might be my only hope, even if I start using large doses again

From a cursory glance it appears to be a trazodone analog

Trazodone caused me a lot of problems when they prescribed it to me for sleep

    Thanks though

I was on symbolta (sp?) for a bit and have never been more suicidal in my life. I couldn't believe it's an antidepressant, every one would tell me I seemed sadder

these days I just smoke weed, take opiates and avoid any responsibility

I’ve been on it for about 2 years. As we all know, these affect everyone differently, that’s why I said I’m no doc. Not my place to prescribe, but it works for my looney brain.
  15. what's funny is, at the end of last year I started feeling like 2019 was going to be the end

I was thinking worldwide apocalypse at the time though

Everyone has told me I seem more pissed off all the time since I've been on Zoloft

I know you don’t wanna deal with the psych docs, but you’re gonna have to if you want to get to the appropriate dose and medication. Once you get on the right track, you only need to see them for Med management.
  18. That's just it though, if I have to be on psychiatric medication for the rest of my life I'd rather not be here at all
  19. Technologist victim of incest
My situation is not near as difficult as yours, but I’ll probably be in my meds till I die. I accept that.
  20. Its probably just a pride thing

While the Zoloft seemed to help at first, it also took away the "edge" or "advantage" I've always felt that I've had on everyone around me
