    Not quite, Martin tells us in an interview documented here that it was put together by blacksmiths.

    Actually, it seems that it was fused by dragonfire. But that doesn't change the quality of the steel, I don't see why it can't be undone by ordinary means. At the very least, dragonfire could destroy it presumably.

    Tyrion did once point out that the wheel she seeks to break was built by her ancestor, Aegon, the same conqueror who built the iron throne to represent his power. I think destroying that symbol would be the ultimate expression of change for a Targaryen revolutionary intent on egalitarian reform.

    Well essentially she was, yes. She was sold off to Robert Baratheon by her father to solidify an alliance. She hated him and he fucked whores and got all fat and gross. So by 2019 standards, yes she was raped. I think Arya is the only one who wasnt raped, but in the book theres the threat of it i believe.

    But yeah- its like the batman origin story for women. Parents get killed outside a movie theatre- become a superhero. Get raped- become a badass revenge-crazy bitch.

    In the books, Cersei very emotionally describes to Ned how a drunken Robert forced himself on her repeatedly and Ned sort of shrugs it off. In the show, Jaime raped Cersei directly in front of Joffrey’s altar while she protested. I regard this as one of the more brutal acts of the series and struggle to understand why there were no repercussions.

    Not entirely, they held it together pretty well for the rest of the season after running out, and the next one has its moments. But yeah, for the most part that's exactly what happened.

    I can’t say I’m a real fan because I didn’t read the books and started watching around season 3. I agree season 8 has paled in comparison. I just like seeing stuff finish and come together

    Egalitarianism has never really been her aim though. She has an emotional objection to slavery, being westerosi (although she's never actually made it off the continent in the books so the reason for this isn't as clear), but clearly has no qualms with violent hierarchical systems of oppression, herself heading dynasty she believes valid as her birthright. It's discussed that she'll make a poor queen since she can never have a true heir, Tyrrion's support of her on moral grounds (perhaps a convenient excuse to find his way to the side he expects to win) is actually quite short sighted in that she represents at best a few decades of peace book ended by massive social upheaval.

    I played the TellTale GoT game on Xbox, which was arguably the best TellTale game I've played, and I'd definately like another one.

    What was great about it was that it gave a terrific overview of the lore and a good chunk of the story into an extremely well paced and consise episodic series clocking in at about idk, maybe 15+ hours total.
