Yeah average restaurant lasts 1-3 years down here. There's a big issue right now with no one being able to find workers. There's a serious fucking housing bubble here at the moment. That apartment I had about 9 years ago for 650 is now close to 1500 a month. Houses that would be like 150k are going for 250-300 now. Ass of Yankees have moved down here to work at Boeing and Volvo. My housing costs is under 500 a month so I'm straight with that for now. I'm mostly trying to eliminate debt and be ready to strike when housing bubble pops. We're maybe 3-4 years into it.
Apparently in booming markets like that, the best lower end investment is trailer parks. John Oliver did a segment on it the other night, and it was depressing. Of course he could be full of shit, but still...
1500? Fuuuck. Yeah shit dude you may as well move to LA now. That's California prices. Years ago you almost had me convinced to move somewhere in the Midwest when you told me how little you paid in rent, and my little shithole apartment in Inglewood was 1400. Damn dude.

I'm actually looking at franchising a restaurant right now. The problem is my friend doesn't have much start up capital, drinks everyday, has never really had a job in his life and is constantly roid raging. For some reason the business owner loves him though and wants to give him the world while me and another investor put up the money and will be much more useful. I love my friend but he doesn't really have the discipline right now due to his alcoholism. I'm trying to think of a way to insert him into a role hed be happy with without giving him a percentage of the business

15k isnt near enough. Unless you could be paid an advance via BTC, and then the rest immediately after it was done....theres just too many threads to unravel.
On a slightly unrelated topic, with my attention to detail, i was thinking id probably be pretty good at helping craft an ARG in LA. Was reading about a thing they had going on a year or so called The Lust Experience that was an 18 month long "immersive theatre" production centering around a violent sex cult/ sex trafficking/ murder, etc.
A guy was talking about how a homeless dude along his route home asked him for money, and then ended up giving him a dirty room key to a hotel a couple miles away. When he went there, he heard a shower running and the bed was all fucked up, clothes on the floor, used condom in the trash. The girl yelled to bring her her phone or something, and when the guy went in the bathroom, this young chick was in there, fully naked. She starts freaking out asking who the fuck he is and why hes in the room. Eventually she chills out and blah blah blah some bad shit happened to her. She starets crying and asks if its okay if he just lays down with her for a while and holds her hand.
Like 10 minutes later he gets a picture message on his cell phone with a picture of him and the hooker from the vantage point of an unseen camera above their heads, with the message "How would Mariana feel about this?" (his IRL wife). At that point the chick gets really cold and calls some dude to help her kick him out of the room, but the player had the presence of mind to pocket her cell phone and apparently found some useful shit on there.
Lol. Imagine if you ruined your marriage over some LARP game.

Theres also a reason i only consider having been "working" 7 or 8 years, and SERIOUSLY working for the last 3- when i was addicted for 13. I know so many "dealers" whose entire meagre income comes from buying a $150 sack, breaking it down into 20s and making $240. Thats not "dealing" to me. Thats just barely scraping by. I did that for a very long time.
