   It's only nice if they wipe the blade and keep it sharp between executions. There are numerous cases of it not being a clean slice, leaving the person to wait in agony for them to try again, or simply get tossed aside to bleed out.
   
   Personally, I've always thought death by hanging would be nicest. If the drop is sufficent, your neck snaps instantly, and if it isn't, supposedly suffocation is a cozy(ish) way to go. The rope restricts blood flow in addition to cutting off the airway, causing unconsciousness in a matter of seconds with relatively little discomfort.
