Should women be charged with a crime for making false rape allegations?
-
2018-09-20 at 10:08 PM UTCI know it's not a new topic, but why doesn't it happen? It seems like anywhere I see, the general consensus is yes, they should. Why do you think it's not like that? Why is it legal to lie about someone else committing a crime?
I like to think I have a decent understanding of how our justice system works but I don't see the benefit in allowing false claims to go unpunished.
Thoughts? -

Do you have any examples? Like what level of crime is it? If you falsely accuse murder, would you then be charged with murder, or I should say, the equivelant of murder technically, whatever, you know what I mean. -
2018-09-20 at 10:24 PM UTCIf I were to be raped, I wouldn't let anyone else decide my Justice.
It's a thin line in terms of the "system"...it is hard to prove, & it can be easily abused. -

i know of a chick who made a false rape claim.
she claimed some dude invited her to his house and raped her.
the problem: during the time she claims to have been raped...on official record...the house was full of about a dozen people who independently verified the chick hadnt even been to the house during the days before and after she claimed rape.
her punishment: 6 months probation and a few hundred dollars fine. -

According to StGB §164 the penalty is 6 month to 5 years prison or a monetary fine. In 2016 (last update) over 16.000 cases of "falsche Verdächtigung" were reported. -
2018-09-20 at 10:28 PM UTCYa. Hence "if"
Also, I will spit on a mother fuckers grave. That's just me tho. ☺️ -

Well that's nice that they do something about it at the very least. I wonder what they do to the false claimed in cases where a person has been incarcerated for years, and then gets exhonerated. It doesn't feel like it should be a one size fits all level punishment. -

2018-09-20 at 10:35 PM UTCWhatever they were falsely accusing people should be done to them. So: punitive rape, in this case.

I responded, I wouldn't let a judicial system decide what Justice were for me, if I were to be Raped.
Then, I said I would spit on a stupid mother fuckers grave.
