My family is a Harley family too, I always get shit for my Ninja. And my gear.

A Ducati.
I had a 75 Yamaha xs650 already. I’m ready muthafucka.
I’m like 5’4” standing comfortably, I need that low seat height lol

I was thinking about getting a 959 for a while but they say that they can't compete with the literbikes
Apparently they're intended for the "gap between middleweights and literbikes", but they want a literbike price for it.
Been thinking about getting an old 999 though. After reading into the new Ducatis, I don't think I'd buy one. I like the looks, performance, and name, but I prefer to do maintenance myself, and I prefer my bikes to have as few electronics as possible
They're also too expensive but that's true of any bike shop now. When you go in the prices look great but by the time you're done they're trying to get you to pay twice what was on the tag

My mom rides a road king with all the bells and whistles. I was taught on a heavy bike, but the weight doesn’t matter if I can’t get my toes on the ground lol. Dumped my old Yamaha on myself twice because I couldn’t get more than the end of my toes down. At least it was all stock/vintage and sold easily.

Really thinking of getting that new Yamaha MT-07. I never owned my own bike before, so I figure it’s a good starter from what I read.
Always wanted a Ducati though, maybe for the next one.

I don't understand why people (including myself) like Ducatis. They're expensive and don't seem to be any better than any other brand, and their displacement denominations don't make a damn bit of sense. Not to me anyway.
I think we all just like the name.

I think they just came out with an 1100 scrambler

nothing sounds fucking cooler than a dry clutch ducati, my buddy has an early 2000's monster and that thing gets me hard as diamonds. euro bikes period are cool as fuck if i get a new street bike its gonna be a triumph or duc. probably triumph because fuck adjusting valves every 2000 miles.
edit problem is they all seem to be tiny for some reason, youd think europeans being large people would make bigger bikes than the japs.

2000 mile intreval isn't bad, my enduro maintenance schedule calls for valve check every 30hrs. it takes me a lot longer to clean dirt and dust off around the valve cover before i crack it open than any of the actual work.

Going to the dealership in the morning, going to get the 6K maintenance done. I installed a new rely and wires for the horn. So, happy about that.
