Well I'm sure a lot of us here can relate to what your saying and it pisses me off because even though I know better I still try to help people out when in the end it usually lands me getting fucked over one way or another.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

If you must know, a couple weeks ago I let a family member borrow my car for a few days. It was not returned when it was supposed to be returned, so I started freaking out a bit. It was in this period of time that I crashed my bike and had to have surgery and shit. The car was eventually returned, but with an extra 1500 miles on it and everything in it worth more than a nickel gone and heroin paraphernalia and empty baggies and shit everywhere.
So I cut this person off, although I still have to endure constant harassment from them because they live nearby.
I let another family member borrow the car "for a few hours" at 6am. She does not return any calls and all texts are completely unintelligible.
It gets to be about 10, and I get someone to give me a ride over there to pick it up, as I have a spare key. She's unbelievably fucked up and with the same motherfucker that ripped me off before. There are signs of heroin use all in the car.
This sucks, but is far from the first time shit like this has happened. She has two prior DUIs, two children and makes as much money as I do but is always asking for more and blowing it on drugs whenever someone finally does try to help. And I'm not the only person in the family that gets this done to them. Anybody in the family that even starts to prosper gets targeted. Before you say "you shouldn't have let her use the car dumbass" I FUCKING KNOW THAT. But every once in a while you think maybe they've changed and try to do something for them and then get fucked over.
I don't know if you know what being constantly guilt tripped and then backstabbed my your own family all your life is like, but it's not fun. This isn't related to the issue at hand, but I couldn't have shit even as a kid because it would get sold for drug money or taken because "it's not good for you" -
