I was hoping for an exact copy of the game as far story line goes and it failed miserably in many more ways than that. -

I got to the part where the chick is walking on some kind of circular platform really slowly until she goes upside down or whatever. She was literally shuffling around for like a full 3 or 4 minutes. I guess back in the day that shot would have been really impressive seeing as people were basically cavemen compared to the shit we got today. -

I don't know why people feel the need to take video game movies and change the plots entirely. I can understand making edits and cuts because videogames can be 8+ hours long but don't just make up some bullshit. It just ends up alienating the fans + normal filmgoing audiences think it's gay anyway.
I'm kind of pissed about the Hitman films too, not because of the plot itself but because they were straight action films and Timothy Olyphant straight up looked way too young compared to Agent 47 in the games. I was actually hoping for it to be a brooding film about preparation and foresight rather than a shitty shootout fight flick. In the games, you simply can't have firefights like in the movie, you die instantly, he is a master assassin but he's still just a dude. -

2018-03-22 at 1:55 PM UTCEnter the Void was kind of boring but it was not a bad film. The cinematography, direction and general weirdness of the film was all on point. I remember first watching it, way before I ever did drugs, and feeling "high" after I got done, like I was lost when I snapped back to reality. Like "uh, what's going on?"
I had the same reaction to Hear Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas. -

Top kek. I thought that the way the story was told visually was very interesting. There is a lot that is said with no words at all. And they really effectively created an atmosphere of real voyeurism with how we snuck a peek into a sort "six degrees" orbit of the dude's life, where the events are loosely connected through him alone.
I gotta watch that shit again stoned though. -
