As well as that you have browsers bitching about unencrypted websites and the like. And you got shit like HTTP2 coming down the pipe after you.
It's not like the early 00s where setting up a website was doable in a weekend. Right now websites have gotten really good, the bar has moved really high, and it's completely frustrating to be starting out with it all, just keeping it all in your head is hard enough.
It's true, couple reasons i'm not a web developer. I can probably just stitch something up with Django or scrape a website and make some half assed adjustments and pass it off as original, lol. But i really should learn node.js or some shit. Oh and i think if i really needed a website real quick without too much trouble i'd probably just use a CMS for convenience.

I love sharing tech knowledge though as far as i am able. Open source all the things is my motto.

I don't really know about the mind sets of all these people, but since i like to open source all the things. I'd be happy to open source a solution to a problem i can't solve on my own. But those are just my personal feelings in regards to this. -
2018-02-26 at 4:12 PM UTCI have read about this before and at one point seriously reflected on whether or not I suffer from this effect, because I do constantly think of myself as superior in many ways to almost everyone I encounter.
But there are a variety of easily demonstrable ways in which my superiority can be, and has been, verified. Plus (very rarely) I’ll meet someone that I realize is smarter or better than me in some way. If I really was deluding myself, I would probably not be able to recognize this right?
So yeah I’m pretty sure I really am the shit. -

It's not so much smarts as it is low skilled people perceiving themselves to be more competent than they actually are in that particular skill. -

2018-02-26 at 5:59 PM UTCThing is, no matter how smart you are, there's always someone smarter. That means that even if you spend your entire life learning a specialized subject, there is most probably still someone smarter in that field. Therefore, everyone should have respect and lose the arrogance, no matter what level they are on. Then we have Lanny.
