Expressing negative feelings doesn't make you a faggot or invalidate those feelings just because you've got those things going for you. There's a lot more to life than intimate companionship and housing security and your current struggles seem plenty legitimate.

I completely agree, which is why I was deriding marriage with Schopenhauer quotes. I find it absolutely abhorrent.

I know... Still my problems seem pretty insignificant compared to what some other people are going through.

Couldn't agree more. The whole asset loss aspect of divorce is an outdated practice from when women couldn't provide for themselves very easily and needed some help to survive in the world.

I've got a pretty nice buzz going after not drinking in quite a while. Now the question is whether to drink myself into unconsciousness so I can have a reprieve from the horror of consciousness or ride the ballmer peak. Woah, this was way stronger than I expected. I only had about 8oz.

Something interesting related to that. Due to many of the neurological differences associated with autism you can essentially permanently be in a state of optimal arousal, which strongly impacts cognitive performance and memory formation. I distinctly remember that during standardized tests I wouldn't become more anxious than normal and I'm sure it was a strong factor in being to score in the 99's across multiple categories. Amphetamine would probably be good enough for normies. Something like dexamph, with a lower impact on NE and higher DA combined with an anxiolytic is practically autism perfected. I once spent something like 3 days straight on a single project, although I was also going somewhat insane at the time.

Why can't I just die in my sleep without being aware of it or suffering? I'm probably never going to make a difference anyway, realistically.

What I really mean is long-term partner. I want that for myself again for the positives (built in friend to chill with all the time) but I've seen pretty much every pitfall of commitment and I'm not looking to see which other pitfalls there can be at this time. Talking about having to dread coming home and having to deal with the logic of a child when you're with an adult. And just having off days and being annoyed with someone you're stuck with and being unable to get away. People would argue "well you need to pick better" but I've been going thru life just giving it a shot with the girls that be choosing me that most closely fit what I want. And I know I'm just some good pussy away from negative events happening in my life. I'm pretty fucking stable right now and I'm a good partner on paper. I know I just get annoyed with women but never break it off and turn into a horrible partner.. cause I love pussy and suck at chasing it. I have a lot of love to give but I want to give it on my own impossible terms.

So of course I'm trying to build a different kind of life right now.

Over the years I've become increasingly skeptical of this kind of stuff. I mean "motivational speaking" kinda stuff has always seemed cult-y but I used to really buy into the idea that the active life was the good life. Taking on numerous challenging projects and white-knuckleing them until they're done.

But I don't know, I think you can get into the place of just trying to fill some kind of perceived absence in your life with these things, not just like mindless consumerism or entertainment, but even intellectually and aesthetically rich activity. Like people block off time on their weekends so they can really hunker down and finish that book they're working on or whatever. You see it with people learning programming a lot too, who force themselves to work on things they don't like because they want tjomg thing at the other end of working on them (although increasingly there's an economic motive as well so that's a different game).

And like sure, a lot of people have success in doing things this way. And especially when people have some kind of impressive result at the end it can feel satisfying. But usually it's temporary, often you see people who get motivated to do something, they do it, and then they need more new projects fo fill their time when they're done. Is any of it really necessary though? I don't know, I'm hardly the definitive source of truth on human happiness or achievement but lately I've been trying to do less "striving" for things. On my own time I'm trying to just do what I want to instead of setting goals, if I want to read a book I'll do that and if I want to get high and watch TV for 10 hours then that's fine. And kinda surprisingly (to me) it hasn't devolved into total hedonism yet, I probably don't "get stuff done" as much but on the other hand it's like like a constant internal struggle to stay on-task.

You're on your way to being a computer scientist yourself so you'll learn about the state of AI research in a few years. I think this is just edge posting, but if you're interested in some reading and my (fairly orthodox/heterodox) opinion on the history of AI research and the current state of affairs that could be some fun methposting.

Why the fuck doesn't Google allow you to go directly image anymore? You've gotta be fucking kidding me, they did it to dissuade copyright infringement? I swear I would get into a drunken fist fight with whoever approved this. Oh wait, you can just left click and open it in a new tab? I would have expected it to go directly to Google's cached image. Incredibly idiotic. I suppose it will stop fucking retards who likely don't have a good reason to infringe on copyright anyway, but as anarcho-capitalist I do not accept the validity of intellectual property.

Alright, I've gotta work on my serious anger problem. Or...I could smoke some weed and get cross faded...

Now, what I wanted to post. You're somewhat fond of New Zealand, aren't you Lanny? Well, it's just a coincidence, but they do score quite high on the Human Development Index, which has a strong leftist bias.

On a critical level I have a particular disdain for the female gender. I absolutely despise the multitude of behaviors and predispositions the vast majority of women display. There's something distinctly distasteful about it when compared to men. Of course there's always variation, but women are just incredibly untrustworthy. You never know when their biological instinct will arise.

Eeew. Whiskys, tequila, rum, gin, and vodka should never be mixed IMO. I know a dude who's into those multi-base drinks but it's like a suicide or something, you end up tasting nothing of any of the ingredients, which I suspect is supposed to be the point.

Wait, what's actually supposed to be the point here? Men in new zealand make more money than women? Was the supposed to be surprising?

Huh, I guess if you haven't lived there you might have an idea of it being politically like the "nordic countries" or something. It's not really. One of the most striking ways that it's different from the US is the general level of social consciousness dedicated to economic concerns. In the US "what do you do" is a question about your profession, in new zealand it's asking about hobbies. A huge portion of the population doesn't really have a career (like you'll run into people who have worked a register in someone else's store for 30 years) and it's not really viewed as a problematic state of affairs like it is here. Men are definitely more career oriented than women and there is definitely some degree of "glass ceiling" going on that's worse than the US, but "career women" are also a much rarer phenomenon.

IDK what meaningful conclusion you can draw from that, just that the dynamics of income distribution are pretty different in NZ than the US
