For a while, I lived back and forth between the Tenderloin and 6th & Mission. I almost got my head bashed in with a hammer by a deranged crackhead once around 1AM. I was also involved in multiple drive-by shootings.
If someone like Malice tried to intimidate me IRL I would have probably lol’d

Quiet, kidiot. I was part of the great BBS war in the early '90s, back when you had to dial in just go to battle. It was NirvanaNET vs Cult of the Dead Cow, if I recall. Of course, they never stood a chance with my l33t hacking skills. *Evil grin*

These sound like interesting stories. You had shit luck.
When I was living in the hood in Cleveland random gunshots were as much a part of the everyday background noise as birds chirping. Only really got attention if it was automatic gunfire.
