Whats sad is this is every night at nearly every dunkin donuts....they toss all unsold product daily since they keep it all in open air displays to convey freshness. If you go to your local DD at midnight youll find this same bag at the top of the pile.
Learned this living with dose me with no money or food before traveling the country. Even ran into punk kids at a squat house who would steal it too to handout at thier house shows in his town lol. Glad we never ran into one another in that garbage pile....talk about a sticky situation :p -

Lawsuits, my guy. If they give a hobo a free donut and he gets AIDS, he could blame it on them giving him an AIDS donut. Even if the suit is winnable, even going to court is something companies generally avoid. -

It's not that they are AIDS donuts, in fact these lawsuits are rarely ever meritocratic: according to the 1996 Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act, the restaurants are legally protected in these cases. But this not common knowledge and it's too much of a logistical pain in the ass for something that might only cause them more hassle. Remember that shit like DD is franchised. -
