I speak German, Polish, English and Japanese
as for effective methods, flashcards aka. Anki is good for vocabulary. but apart from that its really just start using the language ASAP - that is once you reach a certain plateu of vocab and grammar - and expose yourself to real media and shit. it is most vital that you dont stop learning, especially in the beginning phases. less is moar in this case however. favor moderate and steady advancements over dumping 500 new words and 50 new grammatical concepts per day.

2018-01-20 at 4:17 PM UTCwhat do animals think when they hear our music playing? obviously shit loads of animals get to hear humans playing music, whether its pets in our home, birds in the garden, animals at circuses and shit, even wild animals that live in close proximity must get to hear it all the time. do you reckon any of them understand any significance to it at all? surely some must have the mental capacity to understand patterning, so some must realize the regular rhythmic patterns to music. or is it just a weird humming they experience in their background just like if you was on a factory estate and the sound of machines and tools clanking was all around you, but you eventually just shut off to it. i wonder if peoples cats ever put any kind of logical thought as to why the humans seem to make a sound with that weird shaped rock thing in the corner all the time. i wonder if they notice our reactions to the music and realize it at least has some significance to us.

becos the way i see it is this :
learning, or mastering another language before you could even use your own, or at least english to influence other people in a meaningful way seems like a complete waste of time. its doing nothing but tearing more holes on your body so that you have more receptacles for other peoples thoughts or knowledges.
this is the reason why i stopped giving a fuck about philosophy, used to be interested in it. but at some point your going to have to ask yourself ....
at what point does your outlook of life stop being yours and starts being a cesspool of other peoples thoughts and ideas that you had read before ???? -

Generally the modern philosophical project is not viewed (by philosophers) as an effort to fill people up with ideas so much as a process of clarifying existing ideas and submitting them to critique. If you look at the best regarded work since the linguistic turn you'll notice most of it is negative: refutations or disambiguation of existing ideas. -

isnt this like another way of saying ''come hither and see it from the same point and angle i see it from and now tell me if you still think differently ???''
you are now no longer the observer you were, for you have been told to see things from the point ''they'' wanted you to see it from, a position which you may or may never happen to be in if it werent for the intervention ...
do you still call those ''your observation'' ??? -
