hrm … never thought of this this way.
i always thought philosophy is all about my outlook on life and a big fat period.
Yeah, that’s it. Mind I’m mostly talking about modern analytic philosophy, so like if you go read Kant or really any pre-modern philosophy this doesn’t, those are people trying to sell you on a specific view of the world. The modern philosophical project aims, among other things, to situate these system builders with respect to each other. -

the more reason to abandon philosophy according to its modern day definition.
there simply isnt enough time in anyones lifetime to go thru all those that were ever written on any single subject in this world.
maybe it sounds reasonable back in the 19th century when ones horizon is as wide as their cultural sphere, but not now, not in the age of internet and low cost carriers. -

Where are you getting "all those that were ever written on any single subject ever" from?
I said that modern treatment of system builders is to situate them with respect to each other. That doesn't mean that exploration has to be comprehensive, indeed it's frequently the case that examining a small number of very different positions gives the most interesting/productive impression of some philosophical subfield. -
2018-01-23 at 8:55 AM UTCI'd like to do organic chemistry again if I had the chance. Maybe mathematics as well.

2018-01-23 at 9:54 AM UTCRecently I have developed an interest in mycology. Apart from that psychology is interesting but I am interested in a more mesmerizing approach. NLP and hypnotism are branches I have interest in. Chemistry and mathematics have been of interest to me for quite some time as well. Computer programming has also been in my sack of dabbling but I havent gotten that far. Economics is another interest I am new to. Mostly the stock games.
