Some idiot just killed himself and his whole family the other day by forgetting to clear the exhaust pipes on the family home.
thats some retard shit right there. theres no reason the exhaust vent couldnt be routed to the roof...the way exhaust vents have been installed since humanity invented homes...and completely eliminate any possibility of being clogged. -

Some here are done like that, but many are older houses which use PVC pipe which comes outside from the oil furnace at ground level. -

Many vehicles here won't start in the morning, because their engine blocks are frozen solid. We get quite a few people discovered in the mornings frozen stiff and stuck to fences and walls and lampposts, too. Heating is super expensive, especially electric heaters.
Never hear of heat tape eh? -

heating lines will freeze I've seen it happen at a few apts. if people try and relieve the stuffiness by cracking a window,

If it gets rly bad here, our city will open up the LRT stations as shelter.
In nunavut it would suck even worse, not just the cold but the darkness, right now I think the day is 4hours long over there. -

Yeah fuck that shit. -
2018-01-05 at 1:19 AM UTCWhen people freeze to death, they take all their clothes off, so you find them stark naked and frozen solid like a statue.

2018-01-05 at 3:09 AM UTCIt's really easy to remember 32° as the freezing point in F, then 0 as sort of the really fucking cold mark, and 100 the real hot mark. 1-100. Easy. 212° F is boiling temps for water but that's not really that necessary to know

If I measure that same circle in mil-radians (mils for short) I can designate 6283 directions from the center of the same circle. This means that mils can identify more points if measurement than degrees in a circle.
Now apply what I just learned you to temperature measurement.
