Also I never claimed that the crime rate would be exactly the same between races. NARC already addressed that perfectly in his reply though so I'll just say that I second that notion.

This reasoning is racist. Not even trying to be bleeding heart here, but that's just what it is. It's racist, not logical, a belief you hold that's based on the fact that you don't like black people, and not on any tangible facet of reality. If it weren't, you'd be able to express it more concisely than resorting to racist stereotypes.
And saying that slavery/jim crow have not influenced the trajectory of success among blacks in America is just straight up denial. The fact that Japanese Americans were put in internment camps and seemed to turn out alright is irrelevant to the fact that slavery and racism are/were real and affected black people. -

Also considering there are just under half as many whites in poverty than blacks it would stand to reason, by your logic, that percentage wise whites would be responsible for half as many crimes as blacks, which by my previous statistics is false.
Unless you hold blacks and whites to different standards that is.

Also I'm genuinely curious, what is your idea of an opinion? I've always thought of my opinion as something that is constantly being molded by reality and my experiences of the world. I think that some people treat it more as a sacred part of their identity, where they can have at least that thing be true to them no matter what. If your definition is along the lines of the second one, I can understand your position. -

and for the record no, i still wouldn't judge other black people based on what some do. that's no different to saying so many percentage of all human beings are criminals so i'll have nothing to do with anybody.
