hell...i was firing several different versions of full auto rifles/GPMGs...40mm grenades including from a full-auto launcher...altho never M16s...they were always semi-auto. i think i was 20 or so before I fired my first MANPAD.

Because they are an extreme minority, especially in the military, and the logistics of accommodating them and having them be non deployable for a long time puts an unnecessary strain on the military. There are a shit ton of conditions and things that can disqualify you for being in the military for similar reasons, like depression and diabetes. It's really not a human rights issue at all, despite morons on both sides trying to pretend like it is.
