I think the problems here are that he either doesn't know how to do it, is letting his ego get in the way, or both. When a site reaches a certain amount of activity it's only natural for trusted, long time members to be appointed to help guide the sections they are most knowledgeable in, but Lanny is convinced he can do it all on his own.

I don't have a problem with you having your own site or running it any way you want. If it's somewhere I want to be I'll even register an account myself. But at least have the common decency to be honest about your shameless plug. I don't want fucking shitty internet forum drama, that's the one thing I don't want, so go forth and realize your vision of what this community is supposed to be, more power too you, but don't sit around harping on whatever seems to be a popular gripe at the moment in a thinly veiled attempt to grab posters.
