   signed. im all for full-chaos overall with minimal adult supervision but there are a handful of threads that need to be 'serious' and relatively on topic. for example...the collage thread is relatively serious and the occasional shit posting of digital diarrhea is one thing...but there are multiple pages of full on intestinal detritus distribution where it looks like someone raided the dumpsters of several abortion clinics then randomly flung around what contents they found.

    You heard it, folk, your chosen administrator gives no fucks about the community, and would rather all of you deal with shit posts and spam than do anything about it one way or the other. I've reported COMPLETELY off topic posts in topical sections with no intervention what-so-ever, so obviously something else needs to get done.

    There's been a very vocal minority that has been running a "Fuck Mods" campaign for years. One of Lanny's biggest errors was caving into it. It was 2+2 right from the get-go that forum moderators with a history of fairness should have been appointed. When you decide to let the lunatics have the keys to the asylum, this is the inevitable and natural result. But to be fair, Lanny has put in hundreds of hours of his own time into attempting to make the place better. I'll give him that. He really does seem to have the honest intention of bettering things, but at the same time, he continues to make major errors of judgement. For example, moving entire threads with valid content in them from honest posters into the Trash forum just because the OP is a spammer; that is abuse of member content and an abuse of the Trashcan forum. So, it's a very complicated situation, and not so cut&dry as some may assume. There's good and there's bad in this.
