I don't know much about modern mercenaries...but I dont see prince sending any of his kids into yemen and even the craziest freelancers would be bordering on insane to sign a contract with those clowns. -

This article is extremely illuminating in terms of motivations for Jihad and why it's become so popular, and further indicates that the situation in the Philippines is likely to get much worse, rather than better. -

Anticipating this, Russia has been trying to negotiate with the Kurdish SDF, asking for them to hand over the key city of Afrin to the SAA so that they may create a buffer zone and allay Turkey's fears of Kurdish groups crossing the border.
This likely would have worked a year ago, but the (now majority-YPG) SDF are refusing and are unlikely to even be able to change their minds as the YPG is being operated directly by the US. This may lead to an agreement between the SAA and Turkish Army against the Kurds, or it may lead to Turkey throwing it's substantial military forces at Syria proper in an attempt to rebuild the Ottoman empire... Erdogan's highly unpredictable that way. -

i dont know...i probably just made it up. its almost 2am and the biggest question in my mind right now is why the fuck im posting on here and not asleep in my bed.
i think it might have something to do with the group of ragheads (sunny...shit-ites...they are literally the same thing) that aligned themselves together, which included qatar and saudi arabia among several others, with qatar doing something, or several some-things, to piss off the other members of the pact, most especially the saudis who are running it. ive read several articles that alleged to have the 'real' reasoning for qatars pariah status but all of them reeked of MINITRU propaganda so I still dont know the real reason. the lightbulb was due to the oddly coincidentally fact that the previously mentioned pact also happens to be a supporter of one side of that conflict...and even more coincidentally the other side being iran. these proxy wars are getting entirely out of hand. now theyre using helpless niggers as cannon fodder to extend their ridiculous religious conflicts into populations that are literally too stupid to know what the fuck is going on or why they are killing each other besides the most popular explanation of 'allllalala ack ack ack ack ackkkkbarrrr'

LEBANON - I've been seeing a lot of chatter about Syrian refugees causing havoc where they've been settled these last few days - local communities are talking about violence, stealing and raping. This isn't corroborated in popular news though - stories promoted by BBC and AJ and the like make vague allegations against the Lebanese military (and by extension, Hezbullah), echoing claims that refugees have been tortured. Their evidence is in the form of accusations from prisoners and wounds on the bodies of some refugees, though given they've fled from an active warzone there's no guarantee where the wounds came from.
It's worth noting that the majority of Syrian refugees that escape to other countries are rebel-affiliated, ie. terrorists and families of terrorists that hold their Wahabbi/Salafi ideals - people who are not affiliated typically escape to government-held areas in the hopes of returning to their homes once order is restored.
If the reports are true, it indicates that again, the western media is again being used to both mask the violence of these terrorist assets and create outrage against the military trying to control them - Lebanon may be next on the 'countries to ruin' list since Syria has become something of a lost cause. -

On the face of it, it seems like a step toward recovery for the country and normalisation of relations with Russia, but you've got to keep in mind that there are two separate US missions in Syria - the CIA covertly arms and supports all the most powerful rebel groups (including the Al-Nusra affiliates and most likely ISIS) and the Pentagon overtly arms and supports the more photogenic groups, the Kurds (SDF) and FSA (who now largely report to the US rather than Al-Nusra). Halting the CIA project (which has been discussed since Obongo's last days) is likely a PR move that will simply divert more funds to the SDF/FSA... If the CIA even do as they're ordered.
CHINA-INDIA - Apparently China and India are massing troops on the border near Sikkim; China was attempting to build a road for military transport across land that is contested with Bhutan. India's sided with Bhutan in halting construction because they fear that the new road is meant to supply a Chinese military force that could potentially cut Indian access to their territory in the area.
KOREAS - South Korea has invited NK to diplomatic discussions to 'improve relations', NK has told them to get bent. This is being lampooned by the popular media as an example of NK 'refusing a diplomatic solution', but they don't explain why - NK's only real precondition for negotiation is that the constant US-SK military exercises must cease, which the US has refused to discuss.
EU - Italy's getting hammered by migrants; they've recently considered issuing temporary EU visas to around 100k people they haven't yet been able to process so that they can be processed by other countries. Austria's having none of that and have stated that if the proposal is not withdrawn, they will deploy their military to the Italian border in order to close it. As a less pressing aside, Hungary, Czech and Poland have been rejecting EU migrant quotas and have recently been supporting each other politically against the collective. -

2017-07-22 at 6:28 AM UTCSYRIA - The main reason why US/SDF progress into Raqqa has been so slow is that the city and it's forces are being directed by a cadre of ~300 Chechen (ex) soldiers led by Abdul Shishani, who has organised them into sniper teams. The SDF has reportedly lost up to 20 fighters a day to them.
Also Turkish fighter jets have been spotted in the Idlib area, no official word on what they're up to. -

They're (mostly ISIS) dug in right on the Lebanon-Syria border with the SAA applying pressure from the east:
Hezbullah have retaken a large swathe of land and reportedly killed 143 fighters for 19 losses. -

2017-07-26 at 7:39 AM UTCSYRIA - The SAA (5th division apparently, surprised it's not the Tigers) has entered the Deir Eizzor governate; it won't be long before they come into the city proper. The siege should be lifted soon; they're hitting ISIS from all sides which is thinning their defences out to the point where SAA units are able to crush them easily.
The SDF in the north has not made any noteworthy progress into Raqqa over the last few days (around a week), ostensibly because they're finding it difficult to counter the Chechen sniper teams I mentioned earlier.
I've done a bit of research on how the SDF operates as of late and it's nothing like what the western media make out...
SYRIA, SDF - The so-called SDF were initially a militia of Kurdish fighters local to Syria who came together to defend their towns from ISIS and Al-Nusra (regardless of what they rebrand themselves to). Following the abysmal (and costly) failure of using the FSA as a fighting force, the US latched onto the SDF and began organising them and providing support and supplies. In order to create a strong chain of command, the US began importing Iraqi Kurds under Barzani and folding the already-militarised YPG (closely linked to the PKK, a well-known group of Kurdish fighters attempting to build a breakaway Kurdish state within Turkey) into their command structure.
Essentially, the ranks of the SDF were peppered with western-aligned fighters and they were made to report to western-aligned military units.
The Kurds were, in general, a reasonably strong fighting force even without prior military training and their organisational deficits had been solved by having the YPG manage them, but they were still relatively small and had no capacity to hold land they'd taken (in some instances they'd handed control over to the SAA).
The US has been approaching this in two different ways. Firstly, western media has been presenting a carefully-manicured image of the Kurds - they love democracy, they're tolerant of gays and trannies, female fighters are featured in the forefront of every article and so on. This has had the effect of endearing them to popular leftist action groups - there are around 1000-2000 foreign fighters among the SDF's ranks from memory (I'll have to verify), and the vast majority are westerners affiliated with Antifa, Communist or Anarchy groups.
The second factor is the forced conscription of military-aged men (20-32) living in areas controlled by the SDF. Men who don't choose to fight in the SDF proper are forced to join the HPX, which is touted as a defensive force whereby conscripts are to serve for nine months.
Neither of those conditions appear to be true, though - it's been active for over a year and no HPX enlistees have been reported as released, and over 500 HPX conscripts have been forced to the frontlines in Operation Euphrates Wrath, many still in active combat at Raqqa.
