2024-10-20 at 9:27 PM UTCthe floors in hotels are standard 14 foot plus maybe a foot between. so a 45 foot fall with the fact that the third floor is really the forth flood due to the lobby not being Floor one. so now it's a 60 foot drop probably onto concrete. that is not death by default but it's a 87% chance of death
there is no instant death by falling unless you burned up in the atmosphere. many people have survived a terminal velocity speed. -

Demetrios Demetriades, a professor of surgery at the Kerk School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, told Live Science. "If someone falls more than 60 feet [18 m], this is usually lethal, and it is extremely unlikely, or a miracle, if a patient falls from higher than 80 feet [24 m] and survives."Sep 7, 2023

2024-10-20 at 9:32 PM UTCOK this one sounds like BS even if you face plant into concrete
11.7% of fall-related fatalities resulted from falls from heights between 6 and 10 feet

There's people who jumped from a plane at thousands of feet and only halfway down realized they'd forgot their parachute. Some lived. They aimed themselves to a barn roof or soft patch of ground, like a freshly dug farmer's field. -

Some people don't even need a parachute if they have a squirrel bat suicide suit on and aim for a pile of empty boxes -
