If it happened to you your nut sack would look like spaghetti with grapes.

I imagine they try to make it something ironic like "Allah Akbar" or something but I imagine they type that kind of stuff to each other all the time. I wonder if one of them accidentally set one off with some obscure phrase they set and then they had to detonate before word got out.
This seems really hard to do though, I was watching Steve Lookner and as he was reading I was like…..is somebody trolling? Then I saw the videos and I was like ohhhh actual exploding pagers ok.
the signal would be some electronic, non human language impulses. -

highly unlikely.
if you look at the back of the pager theres a cover that seems like a generic cover for AA or triple AAA battery,
if lithium cells are involved it would have to be planted and can be the size of a small 12v remote control battery.
and if you look at the example of the blown pager i think thats what happened. it blew up on the side, instead of from the battery compartment.
edit: ok, saw the model involved. i was retarded. -

lithium cells are really the only common component considering how many different types of devices have been exploding.
according to the original design spec the AP-924 pager has a builtin lithium backup battery as well as the standard AAA socket, but APOLLO has stated that the company they licensed the design to changed it as well. -

Originally posted by ner vegas Hez says they discovered the explosives in one of the new pagers, which forced israel to trigger the attack before they were ready to follow up with the invasion. if true they burned this attack vector; Hez and other groups will be much more careful with physical hardware in the future and will be vetting supply chains very closely.
israel appears to be going all in to take advantage of the situation now.

looking deeper into this i think both sides are faking it.
i dont believe the hezzys really found the explosives jn their pager, they say it to save face and to not look like complete idiots,
the judes did trigger the pagers and talkies to go off in preparation for an offensive but seeing how little effect it had (disabled a mere 5k hezzy combatants when they are thought to have 100k) claimed it was a premature, preemptive detonation just to save face aswell.
both sides are coping. -

israel bombed a Beirut apartment block targeting a Hezbullah commander, killing at least 30 in the process
they now claim that Hez is preparing a major missile attack and bombed 400 (?) launch sites to pre-empt it
Netenyahu currently in meetings related to a 'sharp, imminent escalation in the north'
Syrian and Iraqi militaries suspended leave for all officers and air defence personnel
'Special Emergency Situation' declared in northern israel - the only civilian (economic) activity that can now take place is in close proximity to missile shelters -

Hezbullah has switched from WWII-era KATYUSHAs to much longer-range 'FADI' missiles - I'm struggling to find hard data on them, they're still standard (ballistic) MLRS but they have heavier warheads and a much longer range, 80-100km vs the 5-10km of the old KATYUSHAs.
this appears to have been a test of their effectiveness as only 15 were fired with several landing on Ramat David Airbase near Haifa - around half were intercepted, and while there's a gag order on impact footage both j*wish and Arabic media have reported that their were impacts on the base's grounds, no indications of actual damage though. -

may just be a rebrand of the Syrian KHAYBAR or Iranian FAJR series, both of which have been used in previous wars -

concurrently firing waves of KATYUSHAs at settlements and bases near the border and the longer-range missiles at targets around Haifa, probably to confuse and saturate anti missile systems.
also reports that PMUs in Iraq are now joining in with drones attacking the Galilee region -
