    Probably people who used to know you. They either didn't care enough themselves, but felt sorry for you and hoped someone else did, feeling concerned for about under a minute before moving on to something else. Maybe a few of them dwelled on how you turned out, how bad they felt, although of course they didn't want to say anything directly to you because of how awkward it is, and of course not caring enough.
    
    That or they were just like, "Haha, look at this loser" or "Do you remember Sean? Look at how he turned out. He was such a loser.".
