It's just a pointless slaughter now. Maybe some people think they are buying time for negotiations, but just like in 45, there are no negotiations happening. Zelensky is gone, mentally, not that he ever gave a fuck about Ukraine or goy Ukrainians, and the Russians have no interest in making concessions to a totally broken enemy anyway. -

Anyone with any strategic or tactical planning ability can see that every operation, despite its declared goals, has the outcome of increasing the body count. Russia's been open to negotiation from the beginning, up until now it's been the 'Ukrainian side' (orders from above) that's refused any negotations until Russia returns all the territory it holds including the Crimea.

despite all their effort to "help" ukraine the entire US military establishment has failed in their objective and are awestruck by russian performance in this episode.
no NATO forces, not even the US itself is prepared to deal with russians on the battlefield, sea or sky.

"Putin is currently increasing Russia's arms production significantly. According to the Duma decision, an increase of more than 60 percent," said the Defense Minister. There is a massive need to catch up in NATO and also in Germany.
Pistorius explains: "We now have about five to eight years in which we have to catch up - both in the armed forces, in industry and in society."
The Bundeswehr chief about Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin (71): "We have to take his threats against the Baltic states, Georgia and Moldova very seriously. This isn't just saber rattling."
Then the warning: "There could be dangers facing us at the end of this decade."
It is a carefully worded sentence with great political explosive power. Because in plain language it means: NATO and the West are threatened with an immediate military threat from Vladimir Putin's Russia!
Pistorius promises: "We will be prepared for it by then."
The Bundeswehr must be able to defend Germany "in the event of war".
However, the minister knows that Germany cannot simply switch to a war economy like Russia: "A lack of workers and capacities cannot be imposed." Many people have not yet understood how great the danger is. "At times I have the impression that it has not yet been internalized everywhere that we have to do more to ensure our security," said Pistorius.

You're not seeing the forrest through the trees. There is literally zero effort in any regard to achieve either tactical or strategic success on the battlefield. No operation has followed even basic military planning protocol for accomplishing strategically useful objectives. The intention is to make money for the military-industrial complex by arms transfers, financial transfers, and post-conflict rebuilding, all at the expense of the western taxpayers.
