Despite all its flaws, maybe I will join the Peace Corps just so I can get the fuck out of here for 2 years, be in a significantly different environment, and just have something to keep me busy. I swear I'm going to end up killing myself if I stay here.
I've read that they can help you get a 2 year supply of any medication you need, so that would be great.
Would definitely prefer to have a vasectomy first because I've heard the women in the program can get desperate and really start screwing around. I will not risk creating life and spreading my cursed genes.

What I meant was that I wouldn't even risk it with a condom. I literally refuse to have sex until then because the vast majority of women have something profoundly wrong with them and their biological nature, environmental triggers (attracting a long term partner and feeling they have a secure environment) can drive them insane.
I've mentioned before that they've studied the brain activity of people in love, and it literally looks unnervingly similar to a severe mental illness, OCD being a major component.
I'm that strong of an anti-natalist. I will not risk it, and if it ever occurred I would consider it completely ethical, even a moral obligation, to slip an abortifacient into them against their will.

After your PM, I thought about trying to defend starting a family, but I had a feeling it would be like explaining the color purple to someone who has never had sight. I think trying to talk me out of having kids (and even telling me to get a vasectomy) is a dick move. Live and let live. I don't care if partners are 17% (I just made that up, I didn't read the study) less happy with a kid than without. Warning me about children if I was 16 is one thing, but I'm a grown ass man, with a good job, married to someone I love dearly who also has a good job. We have two families of support so we're not just diving in head first and hoping there is a pool under us. Yeah I have issues, but who doesn't.
What it boils down to is that our brains are fundamentally different. You probably wish you had never been born, but I am grateful to be alive. When you see a study like the one you sent me, you think it's a deal breaker and I simply don't. Having a kid might make a lot of parents miserable, but so what? People hunt reasons to be miserable. Maybe they blame it on a kid instead of realizing they're just shitty, miserable people as a defense mechanism.
Edit: Feel free to shit on me. I know I have done shitty, stupid, selfish things in the past, but I'm trying to make myself a better person everyday. A huge part of that is being clean and getting back on meds (and I'm not making excuses that it was drugs or bipolar disorder that made me a terrible person).

Why is it a dickmove? Providing scientific data that supports ones' point on such a critical issue isn't something negative in my opinion. I understand not wanting to be lectured about shit constantly like if a certain person doesn't stop telling you that smoking is bad and you should stop and shit but facts are facts.
You are right about the possibility about the flawed study, though. I'd have to read more into this specific topic but I don't think it's a dickmove. Smoking is bad and we should all stop.

I don't think it was intentional, I think it comes from a flawed point of view of how other people think. He legitimately thought he was helping me, but not everyone wants unsolicited advice from internet strangers about whether or not they should have kids.

And, hey, look what happened when you tried the first time. You told me about: edit- you know who and what happened. And you know what? I think anyone that decides to have a child deserves exactly what you get. It would be morally superior for people to commit suicide if they couldn't control their animalistic instincts and insisted on having a child.
If you're still alive in however many years and manage to have a kid come back to us and tell me how it went. I'd be pretty confident betting on it.
