if you're ignoring one side (like I said, this is currently about the only real release the Russians have allowed to be made on the Izium axis), you're not working with enough information to have any sort of understanding.

    I didn't say I was ignoring it I said I didn't trust the source.

I thought you were one of the few smart ones here.

the flaw with this SMO is putin is still trying to be the good guy, like jackie chan or some shit.

I'm not sure the recent outages were caused by the Russians; they shut Zaporozhye down but the other two nuclear plants are deep inside AFU territory and haven't been subject to attacks. The Russian MoD hasn't taken responsibility for attacks on power infrastructure either.

If it has been the Russians hitting power substations it's likely Putin's been waiting for increased public support before expanding the SMO (considering the public initially saw Ukrainians as 'brothers' but became less warm when seeing the behaviour of the ultranationalist irregulars and the treatment of Russian POWs) and we'll see the larger tank battalions entering the war with less controls on collateral damage.

If it's not, it's likely Ukrainian command thinks they can cause resentment against Russia in the Eastern regions they currently hold by interrupting power supplies (especially since food transport and water pumps rely on electricity).

Telegram channels saturated with gore? That's terrible, can you let me know which ones with links so I can be sure to avoid them?

1- thats something stand-off weapons do.

2- always bear in mind that the russian MOD, or any MOD of any country for tgat matter, is not a journalistic body dedicated to the proliferation of truths. its press releases are tailored for maximum tactical and strategic purposes, and a dispenser of truths is far from among its goals.

if thats true then like i said, the critical flaw of this whole SMO is that putin tried to be the good guy. the average russians are just as dumb and ignorant as the average "americans" and waiting for their approvals for combatt operations means missing out on valueable tactical, strategic and operational opportunities on the battlefield.

these misses cost money, time and lives.

protracted SMO vaccinates AFU against russian air supremacy and allows them time to adept to fighting with their disadvantages.

idk. who it hurts more ?

ukrainial people without tv and cellphones

    or

AFU unable to transport their personel and equipment to the front lines.

I said there haven't been any reports of attacks there as far as I've seen.

I didn't say this necessarily was the case, but if the Russians were hitting power infrastructure in response to the counteroffensive/s, it would make sense that they'd immediately make that clear.

pretty much. They seem to have changed their overall strategy a few times but without a significant increase in manpower so far.

Military transport doesn't rely heavily on the power grid by design; they'd be more constrained by lack of petrol/diesel supplies.

It doesn't really make sense to judge based on who benefits more though because the value and risk assigned by either side is different.

If they're not speaking it's cause they know the western media will jump to conclusions themselves and also not believe anything they say, so why bother?

my point being not all attacks must be reported.

why should they ? effects speak louder than press conferences.

Electric locomotives don't get their electricity from the grid directly. They are diesel motors that power electric drive motors.

Some passenger trains still collect power from overhead lines and subway trains from the rail. But cross country freight lines do not operate this way.
