War isn't about a KDR like call of duty, it's about using violence to create political change. The US' political will broke before the North Vietnamese, largely because there wasn't a serious plan outside of 'bomb them until they don't like communism anymore' and because everyday people stop caring so much about vague ideologies when their kids come back in pieces.
