I'm glad me and my asshole dad are on better terms because if I would have taken that to the grave I'd be worse off

You have just made bad decisions. Start making better ones. Find something that you are good at, that you enjoy doing, that others are willing to pay for, and start your own business if no one will hire you because of your record.

Then again for years the only thing icould hope for was that id be able to be off heroin for long enough so that when i killed myself my autopsy would show i died without drugs in my system. And on November 30th it was 3 years. So shit can change, but maybe just not as quickly or as big of changes as wed like. idk,

I think running from a lion or tiger is something that you only get to experience once, for a few seconds.

Isn't it a lot more common to encounter black bears there? Those things run away scared like 90% of the time from what I've seen.

It's the 10% that's worrying though...if faced with a bear are you going to be thinking about the 90%...or the 10%...I pretty much think if the bear has cubs nearby too that % leans in favor to you having your head eaten.

All you gotta do is curl up once it tackles you then stab it in the gut from underneath like Arthur Morgan.

I read a book a couple of years ago about bear attacks in the US..mainly Cali and Alaska...don't remember the title of the book but after reading it I swore to myself I'd never go hiking in either place.

When my parents came to visit me here in the US about 20yrs ago I took them to "Big Thicket National Park" here in Texas...for giggles I picked up some sticks off the trail and handed them 1 each and instructed them if a Mountain lion runs at them to stand their ground and use the stick, they fucking fell for it and were walking along the path...sticks held out in front looking from side to side the whole time.

Use your newfound insight to make your world, and the world for those following you, better.

It seems you drew the short stick in the game of life from the onset. My great-grandfather migrated from Ireland and worked his life digging ditches for the gas company. My grandfather didn't do a whole lot better. My dad retired from mid-level management for Ma Bell.

I feel myself blessed to have had the parents I did.

Where do you see yourself in your family's yet-to-be-written story?

Use this time to think about your future and the future of what you want those to follow you will become. Take a deep look at why you are as you are and how who you will be to those who follow.

    No, they wouldn't.

Hell, my daddy (Marine pilot WWII and Korea, 2nd in State wrestling, definitely not somebody to fuck with) took me to a McGovern rally.

Very Democratic and proud of it.
