No, it was just a couple streets over, and it was ye olde farm style house. But i remember gazing into the fire and feeling the blistering heat, and i seem to remember a thick sturdy beam just crashing and falling. Perhaps in that moment i realized the ephemeral nature of things. I suppose as a little kid you never think about how something as big and sturdy as a house could be destroyed. -
