I have never had a spiritual experience on DMT, just an average psychedelic one. I have not done it enough but I have had spiritual experiences on many other drugs not just limited to psychedelics.
I spent a lot of time in church and around religion through so maybe I am having these experiences because the belief is already in my head, either way it felt very real at the time and I have taken drugs many times and not had that experience again. I do believe that if you take enough of any drug in the right frame of mind you can become so fucked up that you lose all grasp with reality and have an easier time seeing the spirit realm than the real one.
The Native Americans have similar experiences when fasting and taking peyote or a large dose of nicotine. I have overdosed on nicotine before from making vape juice and everything was spinning and I was puking my guts out and sweating and RUSHING it felt almost like a spiritual experience of my soul getting the shit kicked out of it. -

You're not really here to be convinced of anything, you're here to confirm your own position.
This is normal human behaviour. Truth is really only in demand when it fits your own beliefs.
What it all comes down to is realizing that there's so much more going on here than what our human body can experience with its limited senses. You can't see air, does that mean its not there? You can't see gamma waves, micro waves, sound waves, bacteria, vira, and the fucking list goes on. None of these things existed until we developed the tools to see them.
Psychedelics are tools for the mind (in the right doses) and it allows you to see and experience first hand what else there is.
The entire dmt thing takes no more than 7-14 min.. objectively speaking. Subjectively, you can easily experience a lifetime in there and be a completely changed person when you come down. There is no easier way to prove something of this magnitude. Smoke 80-100 mg, sit back and get ready to be convinced. If you refuse this then you're just confirming my earlier statements. -
