I dunno, probably an exaggeration, I know suicide rates are up in most countries because of the economic situation.
That said very few people here have been directly killed by the coronavirus so suicides are probably already several times more common

There have been so many people dying locally it's crazy, whether it's from one thing or another. It's like people think the bad in the world is something they can just kill away. The suicide rate locally isn't very high but it always seems like people are dying by jumping off this particular bridge. So many times at night I've been driving over to have the patrol come out waving at me that the bridge is closed, sometimes they'll say for a jumper but usually not, you know because when the bridge is closed normally they will have signs up but when it's a jumper you're just diverted and told to go elsewhere and it's back to normal in a few hours. Then sometimes you'll see crews the next day underneath and traffic is back to normal.
Anyways, the method to kill yourself would depend on who would find you. I don't know if I could ever seriously do it but I'll never say never. I feel it would be bad karma to take an innocent person with me so maybe it would be good to find the addresses of some nonces and go pay them a visit. Actually, instead of dying I would probably just do life in prison, same thing for the most part
