Well then it is way too late. They projected in the 80's it would be irreversible unless we did whatever we didn't do then with in a period of time that has long come and gone. -

The poles receive less sunlight than lower latitudes. The sun barely ever gets more than a few degrees above the horizon. As well as that they have 6 month long nights, during which it will be cold, no matter how much the planet warms. Extreme polar areas are just about useless for agriculture -
