Originally posted by mmQ The fact of the matter is that the earth is getting hotter and at some point, literally at some point people are gonna just start dying of being too hot. It would be funny to be born in that era. You're a kid growing up all excited for your life and then you realize that you're in the last bastion of people still alive and the average global temperature is like 114° F and you just kinda die from overheating
Haven't seen any credible proof the Earth is warming. In fact, logic dictates it would be quite the opposite. The pollution accumulates in the atmosphere, thus blocking sunlight. This would indicate more chance of a global cooling effect than a global warming effect. Most of the planet's heat comes from the Sun, rather than from the Earth's core. -

Originally posted by mmQ The easiest part of changing a tire is realizing you need to change your tire.
It's always amazing to me, also amusing and hilarious, how people discover they "need to change their tire", like it's some big revelation. Like it's some big accomplishment. "I have figured out there is a problem!!" So fucking what? What does that really mean? Sweet fuck all! Now, if you'd like to discuss the specifics, first you need credible sources. A source that can be influenced by money, power or coercion is not a credible source, yet people still cling to it regardless. "Well, it's all we got!", "it's the best we have!", "it's better than nothing!", says the idiot. If you're given the choice between three plates of shit, any choice you make it still going to be a plate of shit. Incredible sources, weak revelations, second-hand opinions, narratives, lacking in any kind of logic or common sense. I find the whole discussion to be a literal joke. -

Originally posted by mmQ You can't discuss the importance of a problem without first recognizing there's a problem. Weirdo butts. That would be like denying you're an alcoholic and then talking about why you're an alcoholic.
The fact of the matter is we have a moral obligation to stop eating meat but here we are, eating meat.
Recognizing there's a problem is the easiest part of analyzing a problem. -

Originally posted by Sudo No shit, That's kinda where climate change denial begins and ends though. Nobody with a university degree should have a hard time finding somewhere affected by man made climate change. It's only dolts who watched a YouTube video
Recognizing there's an issue is secondary to the importance of recognizing what causes the issue. Examine symptoms does nothing to cure the disease. -

Originally posted by Sudo If a "scientist" can't figure out that CO2 has a negative effect on the climate they're a pretty shitty scientist, wouldn't you agree?
Saying "CO2 has a negative effect on the climate" doesn't really say anything of substance. It's just a general, blanket statement. Like me saying "it's raining outside", but not saying where I am. -

Originally posted by Sudo There are elements that are truthful but none of it really applies to climate change. I guess you know that poses a clear and present danger to the future of the plane5 and its good you recognize this and have elected to do your part
You are confused as to the actual source of the destruction of the planet. -
