2022-03-04 at 4:53 PM UTCIf a "scientist" can't figure out that CO2 has a negative effect on the climate they're a pretty shitty scientist, wouldn't you agree?

Saying "CO2 has a negative effect on the climate" doesn't really say anything of substance. It's just a general, blanket statement. Like me saying "it's raining outside", but not saying where I am. -

Again there is NO clear and present danger to the PLANET...the planet will be just fine even if the temperature is raised by 20c...life will still live, the planet will still rotate and do it's thing...Humans will mostly be gone.
See therein lies the lie..the lie that surrounds climate change nuts...the planet WILL BE FINE...humans wont be.
It's not about the planet, it's about self absorbed humans. -

Maybe if life existed in a vacuum but there is a symbiotic relationship between organisms. I know it would be so great if earth returned to an inhabitable piece of molten rock. Some people aren't nihilists and think the future should be a little better.

No shit, That's kinda where climate change denial begins and ends though. Nobody with a university degree should have a hard time finding somewhere affected by man made climate change. It's only dolts who watched a YouTube video -

non sequitur...the earth would still be TEEMING with life even at much higher temperatures...simply because the humans couldn't hack it doesn't mean billions of other species couldn't...they could.
And yes, the future could be better...a neutral being would say an Earth without humans was BETTER for the rest of life on Earth.
What do humans contribute to the good of Earth and the food chain, NOTHING...they destroy and strip Earth of it's resources...humans are a pestilence on the Earth.
Just the facts ma'am -
2022-03-04 at 5:14 PM UTCAgain the point is the planet is NOT in danger...humans are...that little fact seems to get by most climate nuts who continually make the claim "save the planet" etc.

OK, so just to make sure the goalposts have moved from "no man made climate change" to "not to the extent that some scientists say" to "the planet is fucked so give up" to "humans shouldn't exist anyway"
Wow yall more doom and gloom than those pesky millionaire scientists getting paid to make up numbers -

The goal posts have not changed...
1. I certainly never said "no man made climate change"
2. saving life on Earth from a deadly infection (humans) isn't doom and gloom...trying to save the infection is! Stop being so self absorbed and think of the GREATER GOOD...8.7 billion species would be better off without Humans.
Just the facts Gurlfriend. -
2022-03-04 at 5:27 PM UTCThat's so many people.
Jesus fuck. It's almost NINE BILLION now?
I remember when it was like 5 billion.
Just a few decades ago.
We're out of control m8r8ds.
What the fuck are we thinking? -
2022-03-04 at 5:29 PM UTCbtw re: goalposts changing..it's the climate nuts who keep changing them
"uh we were wrong about our forecast it's not by the end of the century it's by 2050...uhhh wait no 2035...ughh no 2030....uggh no next Tuesday.
Give me a fuckin break Nigel! -
2022-03-04 at 5:30 PM UTCI remember reading some weird fun fact like we could fit the entire global population in L.A. and it wouldn't even be that crowded.
I'm making that up but it was something crazy like that. Obviously 9 billion people is a lot of people but EARTH, man, earth is really big. -

8.7 billion species..not 8.7 billion people I was talking about..but yeah humans are like roaches...I remember when it was 4 billion. -
2022-03-04 at 5:37 PM UTCYou know why I don't trust scientists? Cuz they're like "there are 9 zillion species of ants."
You gonna honestly tell me that we've kept track of nine zillion different versions of an ANT? no way Jose. Who's in charge of this stuff? Who finds an ant an is like "waiiiiit. Hold the phone you guys. Look at this. I think I found a new type of ant. I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure this ant looks different than the other 9 zillion ant species we've already identified. Come look. Maybe I'm high." -

Recognizing there's an issue is secondary to the importance of recognizing what causes the issue. Examine symptoms does nothing to cure the disease. -

I like that.
I remember being in a meeting at an old job and talking about a problem. The boss asked for input, I spoke up and said what was causing the problems and he retorted "We've heard enough of your negativity! lets hear some positivity " to which I responded "Taking about fluffy bunnies will not fix the problem"
..you could see the realization cross his face and he said "you're right..." -
2022-03-04 at 6:03 PM UTCYou can't discuss the importance of a problem without first recognizing there's a problem. Weirdo butts. That would be like denying you're an alcoholic and then talking about why you're an alcoholic.
The fact of the matter is we have a moral obligation to stop eating meat but here we are, eating meat. -

The problem isn't that humans are causing global warming, the problem is that humans exist.
