I know this may seem crazy, but kroz was, in fact, murdered by a demon who got control of him. The demon came in the form of an angry black man, who constantly screamed in his head orders and commands, which kroz was terrified of obeying, yet also just as afraid of the demon who had taken up residence inside his head. The only way he could remove the demon was to end his life to vacate it. Sadly, kroz let his loose, carefree and freestyle way of life go down a path of waiting evil lurking in the road. He was vulnerable, and an easy target for those not of this world.
