youtube's actually blocked a bunch of his videos in Australia because they violate a gag order on a gambling regulator who basically said 'nobody follows the regulations lol'.

there was no good reason for the gag order to start with but the guy's dying of cancer and they're trying to litigate him into the ground. he violated the gag order because it'll take months-years to dispute it legally and he has like 6 months to live

not many people can say their house got firebombed for doing journalism

if you want to be cynical it makes the most sense that major religious doctrine was conceived as a way to communicate the 'correct' way to behave socially to masses of people who are unable to think directly on why they should return the trolley instead of just leaving it next to their parking spot

I could see that irritating me if I was even a little pompous, and deities have every right to be.

Yeah I myself told God hey man like no disrespect but I'm not gonna go to church or like really actively believe in you anymore but also it's nothing personal and if you're real you already know all this so if you just please forgive me and my feeble human brain and not let me get raped by the devil for all of eternity if I am in fact wrong, that would be much appreciated. I'm hoping that covers my bases.

[gesturing at existence]

it's a complicated thing to think about; a metaphor helps explain it. I say a machine specifically because it's something with a single function, to produce increasingly complex things - it doesn't 'think' and it doesn't 'care', it just makes.

if it produces things that are increasingly complex that deteriorate over time and space, the things that are 'closer' to the centre could potentially be 'young gods' that also hold power over the broken things that are 'further' away

I have this idea I haven't really fleshed out that 'God' is a machine at the centre of the universe with the sole purpose of churning out things that are increasingly complex and/or novel (they're not the same thing)

as things are created they drift away from the centre and degrade over time and space, eventually being dissolved to the most base components via entropy, eventually re-absorbed by that machine to be yet again ordered into something more novel

The problem with you is that even though you don't fit into white western normality quite right, you haven't started hating and resenting that normality and letting that hatred and resentment dictate your life and motivate all your actions. For these people being degenerate brings them religious pleasure, it's a fuck you to the normality that is oppressing them *somehow*. They're motivated by hatred for normal white people (a group that barely even exists), and have learned that being as offensive as possible to the people they hate gives their miserable and sterile lives meaning.

Well right and I don't necessarily not believe in a god I'm just talking about the one whose "Word of God" explains that he does in fact care about us and loves us unconditionally (but also won't prevent baby rape)

Basically God would have to know exactly the outcome of everything that he is creating therefore God knew babies would get horribly raped and went ahead with it anyway. I guess I'm talking more specifically Christianity as I don't enough about any other religion but nonetheless anyone who believes in an all-powerful creator has to rationalize this sort of thing somehow.

I have no faith, and that suits me. Neither the faith to believe in God's existence, nor the faith to believe God doesn't exist. If God's real, I really hope he's not the kind who thinks capacity for faith is of the utmost importance. Would be a real shame if everyone got into Heaven except people who weren't entirely credulous.
