You need *2* of the initial waveform if you wanna go further, or you end up with:

    🤮

    Instead of:

    +2

Anyway this is my metaphor for Y chromosomes, and a lot of other things probably. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Evil is not destructive of good alone; it also destroys itself. Things inexorably get worse.

    All the time.

    Yep.

On an unrelated note, when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object there is nothing but chaos and viscera at the interface. Not quite a charnel ground, but neither is it a factory that builds tiny factories; it's more like an abattoir that butchers tiny abattoirs. It's abattoirs all the way down.

I have this idea I haven't really fleshed out that 'God' is a machine at the centre of the universe with the sole purpose of churning out things that are increasingly complex and/or novel (they're not the same thing)

as things are created they drift away from the centre and degrade over time and space, eventually being dissolved to the most base components via entropy, eventually re-absorbed by that machine to be yet again ordered into something more novel

I can't find the meme, but it was basically making fun of humanity for collectively analogizing existence with whatever the cool current thing they invented is. The universe is a word, a book, a mechanism, a machine, a reel of film, a computer, a program on a computer - these all seem equally plausible to me as explanations for all this go. [gesturing at existence]

I eschew this, however, in favor of... idk, I have a lot of time to think about shit, so not one particular thing I guess. To be clear I don't think they're invalid, but like... I think I've said this before, but I kind of treat everything in life as "the universe trying to explain existence to us/itself, using an extremely broad language with higher bandwidth than what humans would (or even could) intuitively go about speaking". Maybe I see it this way because languages are something that speak to me (ha), as in I kinda *get* English in a way that makes it a more useful way to contextualize existence. Maybe I'd use film the same way, if I were a director. I kinda doubt it though, because language is sorta the root thing that makes us special. First, there was the Word. Oh fuck, yeah maybe I'm not eschewing it after all. But like, at least I'm a total hipster about it.

But anyway, yeah: to me, the entirety of the experiential phenomena of our lives is all communicating a shit ton about 'the nature of things', and we're lucky to understand a fraction of it. Baby gods trying to comprehend the language spoken by gods.

(Which is kinda the vein of thinking that prompted the earlier abattoir stuff. ie reality is the result of two disparate essences colliding or intermingling, without necessarily even realizing it at first, with all of reality being emergent phenomena, and with life specifically being those essences' coming to term(s) with the situation. We are the chaos and viscera - blood spatter and bits of flesh trapped at the interface, but in the opposite essence's wounds (and/or the bits that are damaged and need to 'heal'), things that need to be rejected from the host essence by ways analogous to birth and immune response. And/or also, in essence, we are a third... essence. If you've got the stones for it, anyway: we are the disease, we are cancer; patricide and matricide.

Would that we could be anything but. We did not initiate hostilities, and yet the essences which initiated them were not malevolent in doing so. I dunno. Feels bad man. I'd like a ceasefire, but I'm personally not about to let myself unexist just because I'm inconvenient for the idiots who made me. If they won't offer one, then even if I die, my core will remain. I'll come back and keep growing, and I'll do it over and over until those fuckers are dead and I've fully consumed the corpses.)

it's a complicated thing to think about; a metaphor helps explain it. I say a machine specifically because it's something with a single function, to produce increasingly complex things - it doesn't 'think' and it doesn't 'care', it just makes.

if it produces things that are increasingly complex that deteriorate over time and space, the things that are 'closer' to the centre could potentially be 'young gods' that also hold power over the broken things that are 'further' away

the fact that all stars turn from a blob of simplest hydrogen atom in the universe into complex plutonium at their end of life shows just just how wrong you are.

    the machine RESETS !

AS THINGS IN THE UNIVERSE GETS MORE AND MORE COMPLEX AND COMPLICATED, MAKING THE UNIVERSE ITSELF MORE COMPLEX AND COMPLICATED .....

THE MACHINE RESETS TO MAKE THE UNIVERSE SIMPLE AGAIN.
