First of all, it's starts with wanting to eat a cake. That brings to the action, buying the cake. The climax being, eating that damn cake. So yeah, it doesn't make sense to me. 
But the principle involved is that some people do not follow that logic. They are so greedy and self-absorbed and entitled that they actually think they can 1/buy the cake, 2/eat the cake, but 3/still have the cake.

This was on Zoklet. We were both mods there, just not at the same time. One day Lanny was drinking heavily, as he usually does, and he decided to get rid of me once for all, so he sat down and wrote a script that spewed out infraction points continuously right onto my account, effectively banning me thousands of times. That way, if someone tried to reverse the infractions, it would take them hours and hours to do it. Very clever. That didn't even near stop me, though. The kid means well, he's just hasty and arbitrary and hard-headed and arrogant.
