I liked the premise of the show "catfish" but hated the personalities of the hosts but liked how they dug a little deeper than television usually does to draw profiles of the characters involved and what they have in common.
I think what we all have in common is we are all fucked and connected through our maladjustments and malafaptive coping mechanisms.
I think it's beautiful that Lanny and frala are living a life together and also very funny.
We're all beautiful people coalescing on this star feeling angry, scared and alone attempting to forge a connection with our own humanity by yelling into the vast void. Niggas in space is almost the perfect name; I remember the fateful thread that spawned it, I suggested some joke names after but Lanny already had this name picked out.
This medium is like many others but can seem less accessible due to its format, climate, NAME and other indexing concerns but it shares many similarities with others.
I would normally characterize myself as white trash but the inclusionary language of this medium makes me rethink my assumed ethnicity. I really hope nobody actually reads this whole stupid thread, I'm really high and it lost focus and is now somewhere in the ether. I wish I had a good ether connect. That's pretty fucking white actually, I don't think a black person has ever done ether. I just think of Michael Caine off "the cider house rules" which is a good movie I should watch. Even though he had given up his rights, when his daughter is older and she wants to know about her father, seeing her name in his obituary would give her a connection and a better sense of closure.

What a shitty obit. All the people I know who've died over the last month (5ish) had better obituaries that mentioned things beyond the bare facts. Maybe it's his families catholicism buy thst obituary definitely left me wanting more
I think they intentionally left it kind of barebones because they didn't want to accidentally hint at the negative stuff. even if you liked him you have to admit he fucked up a lot, and catholics in general don't like to talk about the drugs and insanity that bubbled up especially toward the end

The threat assessment for this community has changed significantly over the past 5 years and many of the user disappearances/"deaths" can be attributed to this. Most of the supposed deaths have simply been a cover for the exfiltration of assets whose presence here could no longer be justified. You might not believe me but there was a point in time when around a quarter of the active users here were only present in an official capacity. Not NIS specifically, of course, but at one point in the totse/zoklet/intosanc/rdfrn/nis lineage, over the decades. With under 50 active/semi-active users in the community now, almost none of whom pose a threat of any kind (let alone a serious threat to national security, as once may have been the case) it's simply more sensible for resources to be allocated elsewhere and individuals of interest to be monitored by more targeted and traditional means.

Kr0z had a dynamic and endearing posting style and was a friend to many in the community.
I'm not trying to contrast §m£ÂgØLs floridian buttfucking ways but I don't think anyone here can honestly say they like §m£ÂgØL more than krolo unless they're a contrarian cuck. Kr0z was an original with alot to love about him. §m£ÂgØL just shitposts as star trek characters from his parents basement. Super boring and has likely never made anyone laugh on purpose. I'm so very glad to have been mostly liberated from these pernicious desires to 'create', to 'contribute', and to have 'success'. It seems like this is what drives most of you people mad. Every member we've lost seems to embody this sense of self-loathing for having wasted their (most likely insubstantial) potential for greatness, or their potential happiness. The idea that you should be doing "something else" but have painted yourself into a corner is a source of unending misery. You can't just content yourselves with mediocrity (or worse-than-mediocrity). It's sad.
