  1. Originally posted by CASPER I guess youre right. Internet friends are just such a weird situation. I think ive been here since i was 14. Even people like Malice - who I never met- that fucked me up. OMGPLZDNTBAN- dying drunk in some shitty corner of Montana by himself. Juicebox. Diet Piano. Hydro and her slow slide into whatever it is now. Its like the movie IT. The Sad Kids Club all grown up but theyre still morose, dysfunctional weirdos. Its just strange. But Fubi was really the last person i expected. I still cant imagine wtf happened. Dude was 28 or 29.

This place just feels like a weird, sad purgatory sometimes.

What's scary is that I don't know if the people who left it really did any better.

I think most people here were just fucked up to begin with, and on some level that has to fuck you up for the rest of your life. Most of us will never be like that straight edge doctor who gets wild on Friday's with two glasses of wine/two beers and loves her/his life but ughhh she/he has to work so much.

Like some people just deal with it so much better, and here's me struggling to stay smoking weed all day so I don't slip into more harmful addictions again. I know lots here feel the same, and fubi did too. But he managed to get out of it for the most part it seems. Like you said, I didn't expect it.

It's so depressing. He did all that work, did all that progress, and for what? What an unfair way to lose his life after all the hospital visits and close calls and risks taken. God must work in some VERY mysterious ways, because it just doesn't make sense to me. How do I know I'm not going to drop dead tomorrow?

  3. Originally posted by Meikai Children are in no position to be personally responsible. If the parents are fuck ups the completely innocent child suffers for it, and republicans are 100% okay with that/will support no policy to remedy the child's suffering.

Yep. This is the bottom line. Children shouldn't be responsible for their parents fuckups. As a society, we cannot make people into good parents. But we can make sure that their kids have food, shelter, healthcare, and a quality education. These should be the basics covered for the government by the 21st century. There's absolutely no reason not for it. It's crazy that we have people starving to death in America when we are the richest and most powerful nation in the history of mankind.

Republicans have done a good job of making people feel like the poor don't 'deserve' to eat, have shelter, be healthy educated, etc. So many kids get fucked up at a young age through no fault of their own? "The world isn't fair?" No, fuck you. Fairness is derived through legislation, and there are things we can do to fix this, and help our fellow man.

If you are not willing to help literal babies because of 'personal responsibility' then I don't know what the fuck you're doing here. Even neanderthals cared for their elderly. There are skeletons of people that lived to old age with serious, debilitating injuries or birth defects. It's human nature to care for others. It's fucked up that Republicans have convinced everyone into being selfish instead.

Although it's not really selfish since it's not even your money you're keeping. Republicans just vote to help someone far richer than themselves keep even more of their money. Just look at how Trump's tax law helped Bezos and other 1% in America.

  8. Once you hit that 9 month mark you are on your own.

No food? Should've been born better.

    Poor? Should've been born better.

No education? Should've been born better.

There's a whole huge debate over whether or not a fetus is human yet (protip, it's not) but there is NO debate about whether a baby is a human or not. This is a living breathing human who needs to be looked after.

But Republicants say 'fuck that'. If they had it their way we wouldn't have food stamps. Kind of amazing. This was during the Great Depression, and the GOP was against food stamps. Our economy is not much better off now than it was back then, and we're facing a similar issue with nationalized healthcare, which FDR tried to pass as well but was not able to get it through due to Republicants.

These people don't actually care about life. What they care about is imposing their religious beliefs on you through law.

Requesting a replacement ballot does not invalidate the person's vote if they've already voted, but you can change their party affiliation, cast a vote etc.

Now they're talking about using census software and a python script to mass-invalidate votes lul

You need your social by federal law

Also not sending the ballots to only registered addresses is a fantastic thing. Homeless people deserve to vote. Moving people deserve to vote. I mean wtf? That information is years old. People move, aldra...

  18. Trump has long time connection to russian mob money.

► Trump's early connections to the Russian Mafia:
Trump was first compromised by the Russians in the 80s. In 1984, the Russian Mafia began to use Trump real estate to launder money. In 1987, the Soviet ambassador to the United Nations, Yuri Dubinin, arranged for Trump and his then-wife, Ivana, to enjoy an all-expense-paid trip to Moscow to consider possible business prospects. Only seven weeks after his trip, Trump ran full-page ads in the Boston Globe, the NYT and WaPO calling for, in effect, the dismantling of the postwar Western foreign policy alliance. The whole Trump/Russian connection started out as laundering money for the Russian mob through Trump's real estate, but evolved into something far bigger.
    https://newrepublic.com/article/143586/trumps-russian-laundromat-trump-tower-luxury-high-rises-dirty-money-international-crime-syndicate

► Trump launders money for Russian mobsters:
In 1984, David Bogatin — a convicted Russian mobster and close ally of Semion Mogilevich, a major Russian mob boss — met with Trump in Trump Tower right after it opened. Bogatin bought five condos from Trump at that meeting. Those condos were later seized by the government, which claimed they were used to launder money for the Russian mob. (NY Times, Apr 30, 1992)
    https://www.mhpbooks.com/books/the-making-of-donald-trump/

► Trump's attorney's connection to the Russian Mafia:
Felix Sater He grew up with Michael Cohen--Trump's former "fixer" attorney. Cohen's family owned El Caribe, which was a mob hangout for the Russian Mafia in Brooklyn. Cohen had ties to Ukrainian oligarchs through his in-laws and his brother's in-laws. Felix Sater's father had ties to the Russian mob. This goes back more than 30 years.
    https://www.nytimes.com/1992/04/30/nyregion/entrepreneur-who-left-us-is-back-awaiting-sentence.html

► Trump secures loans through Bayrock, Sater, and Arif - the Russian Mob:
Trump was $4 billion in debt after his Atlantic City casinos went bankrupt. No U.S. bank would touch him. Then foreign money began flowing in through Bayrock (mentioned above). Bayrock was run by two investors: Tevfik Arif, a Kazakhstan-born former Soviet official who drew on bottomless sources of money from the former Soviet republic; and Felix Sater, a Russian-born businessman who had pleaded guilty in the 1990s to a huge stock-fraud scheme involving the Russian mafia. Bayrock partnered with Trump in 2005 and poured money into the Trump organization under the legal guise of licensing his name and property management.

► Putin rose to power through the Russian mafia and they are deeply interconnected:
The Russia Mafia is part and parcel of Russian intelligence. Russia is a mafia state. That is not a metaphor. Putin is head of the Mafia. So the fact that they have been operating out of the home of the president of the United States is deeply disturbing.
    https://bpr.berkeley.edu/2019/12/16/gangs-and-gulags-how-vladimir-putin-utilizes-organized-crime-to-power-his-mafia-state/

► Giuliani's connections to the Russian Mafia:
Rudy Giuliani famously prosecuted the Italian mob while he was a federal prosecutor, yet the Russian mob was allowed to thrive. Now he's deeply entwined in the business of Trump and Russian oligarchs. Giuliani appointed Semyon Kislin to the NYC Economic Development Council in 1990, and the FBI described Kislin as having ties to the Russian mob. Of course, it made good political sense for Giuliani to get headlines for smashing the Italian mob.

► The GOP and the NRA have been compromised by Russian money:
A lot of Republicans in Washington are implicated. Boatloads of Russian money went to the GOP--often in legal ways. The NRA got as much as $70M from Russia, then funneled it to the GOP. The Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee lead by McConnell got millions from Leonard Blavatnik. In the 90s, the Russians began sending money to top GOP leaders, like Speaker of the House Tom Delay. Craig Unger's book alleges that most of the GOP leadership has been compromised by RU money.

► Trump's real estate assets are disproportionally backed by Russian investment:
At the Cityscape USA’s Bridging US and the Emerging Real Estate Markets Conference held in Manhattan, on September 9, 10, and 11, 2008, Donald Trump Jr. was frank about the tide of Russian money supporting the family business, saying "...And in terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets."
    https://www.eturbonews.com/9788/executive-talk-donald-trump-jr-bullish-russia-and-few-emerging-ma/

► The Trump organization relies on Russian funding instead of American investment:
Eric Trump told golf reporter James Dodson in 2014 that the Trump Organization was able to expand during the financial crisis because “We don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.”
    https://www.businessinsider.com/eric-trump-golf-courses-russia-funding-2017-5

► Russian oligarchs co-signed Trump’s Deutsche bank loans:
When no banking nor investment firms would loan the Trump organization money due his record of multiple defaults and bankruptcies, Russian oligarchs co-signed Trump's loans.

► Trump now gleefully takes cues from Putin:
Trump went against American intelligence on North Korean missiles. He told the FBI he didn't believe their intelligence because Putin told him otherwise. “I don't care, I believe Putin"

► Trump meets in secret with Putin without any aides nor intelligence agents:
Trump met in secret with Putin at the G20 summit in November 2018, without note takers. 19 days later, he announced a withdrawal from Syria, abandoning our Kurdish allies and relinquishing US bases in the region to the Russian Military.

► Trump refuses to enforce sanctions against Russia - sanctions passed with a bi-partisan majority in congress:
Trump refused to enforce sanctions legally codified into law - and in some cases reversed standing sanctions on Russian companies.

Asians were never discriminated against in America so they flourished hard, causing Japanese culture to become mainstream 'American culture' just like how a lot of European things have become American culture. Pasta, hamburgers, pizza, baseball, etc.

First game is somewhere in California but it looks like straight up Tokyo. Imagine people non ironically wearing kimonos in America and eating miso soup with their bacon and eggs.
