This is what I keep saying. Absolutely none of these companies gives a flying fuck and it isn't representative of public opinion whatsoever. I mean, nobody thinks that Pepsi represents the left when they say "Drink Pepsi its almost as good as Coke"
So why would they be representing it now? Exactly who called for this, some fucks on Twitter? No. It's the fucking stockholders. It makes good headlines and brings their brand name to the front of your mind. Absolutely nobody was talking about Uncle Ben's before this. It's good rice but damn, it's in every media outlet. And when these companies change names/mascot, that will be in the media too. They're going to make sure absolutely all of us know what the new product is, and that the taste hasn't changed. -
