Only when the numbers start hitting THEM do they wear masks. We could've been fine by now. Businesses could've opened as normal like in other countries.
Instead we're still dealing with this because people didn't want to take precautions under the guise of 'its not that bad'. Slowly more and more of these people will turn around once they see the deaths that could've been prevented in the first place.

Had we had a president who implemented them federally we wouldn't be in this situation. The idea is to stop the virus before it hits, not wait till shit starts getting bad THEN take action. Unfortunately too many people have to be bit to realize that. Texas was lucky and could've avoided this had they taken action and taken advice from other states.
And YES. Things got so bad in my state because we didn't act quickly enough. Look at Mongolia. Next door to China, landlocked, and still they managed to avoid this pretty much entirely.
Things will be much worse in Texas given how political mask wearing has become. I feel bad for Texans.
I've been saying for months the second wave will be a lot worse. Now Texans are about to see. Don't see this spike happening in IL. This is what flattening the curve is about. No matter how small, you can flatten it. How many thousands of Texans will die because of their incompetent government?
Really quite sad that governors had to step up at all. This should've been the president's job. -
