There is no possible positive outcome and the people supporting the riots are either idiots or do not have the best interests of the people of HK in mind.
No this is not my goal or motivation, or that of the protestors. The movement has the potential to be turned in to an anti China superweapon by motivated parties. -
2019-11-18 at 12:30 AM UTCNo. Your fantasy simply isn't feasible, at least in the short to medium turn and without turning HK into the Ukraine for a decade.
What will happen is China will eventually have to send in the PLC to roflstomp them which has been the US' goal all along, at which point they can cry about 'humanitarian catastrophes' and 'human rights' and use it as a pretext to ramp up aggression against China. China will not back down though and the US can't swing sanctions around in the same way that they have against Russia, so it'll be a big boy hot war unless the US finds a way to de-escalate the mess it's created. -

I have stated my opinion on what is occurring at present based on reported facts and historical and social variables.
There is no speculative fantasy here. -

Hong Kong was amazing.
your looking at this issue wrong. you have to look at this whole thing from RACIAL standpoint.
because RASSE matters.
now the people of china and hongkong are made from the same kind of racial stock, thst is to say their racial performances are the same, and what has been holding the chineses in china back are their misguided beliefs in some ancient russian jéw's ideology,
while hongkong were molded into a more efficient cronny capitalistic system by their british masters. cronny because power and capitals were derived from the relationships, and the briberies with and of the appointed british administrators.
now that china is freed from its old jéwish communistic dogma and has adopted modern, ultra efficient capital feudalism, its only natural for china to surge past hong kong not only due to their vaster natural resources, but of humans as well.
hong kong will now resume its traditional role before the opium wars. as a backwater.
that has always been their destiny. like hai nam (island).
