not really, i'd say most military recruits are from the south to this day. some of them do shit like what's called a hardship tour in places like south korea. a friend of mine talked about it when he was airborne in the army, said it's ridiculously cold. they do some kind of arctic weather training or something.
i kinda like cold weather. the wind chill in the mornin is goin to be minus 35 f and i'm not looking forward to it, but it's just meh. ive been through some pretty serious shit myself and a lot of people i know who are from here, including my dad, have lived in places where it's 50 below regularly.
