Couldn't we just build fortifications near spawn for new players? Harder difficulty will just attract a different kind of player, not dissuade everyone. I think it'll be more interesting if we are encouraged to work together, create connections... And it makes the wilderness more wild. If you decide to venture out and establish a secret outpost, it will actually be challenging to get out there. -
