By this logic, children should be able to get tattoos of their own accord, right? And if they want to start smoking cigarettes, who cares even? Just let them know that once they do it they can't go back. -

Originally posted by Narc Yes they're confused because their mind is seriously under developed and they lack life experience. This is why you don't let children make life changing irreversible decisions, because they lack the knowledge and experience to make them correctly.
And yet you would allow a child who by your own description is confused make such a huge change that they could end up seriously regretting forever. What's wrong with the child waiting till they're an adult? Even if they live and dress as a girl.
I mean I'm sure I heard that more than half of adults that have sex change operations end up regretting it. Imagine what that would do to a child's mind that is still in the process of developing and learning to understand their mind and what life is about. They can always have the op later, but they can't undo it once its done. This is something the subject really needs to be sure about.
.
The argument is that hormone changes are more effective before/during puberty. It's a shit argument, but that's the argument. Actual surgery I cannot think of a possible fucking excuse for. Kids should only go under the knife when it is a medical requirement.
What was that whole "first, do no harm" thing? Any doctor doing these kind of surgeries should be ashamed of themselves. -

Nope. That person is into all sorts of stimulants. I hate stimulants and don't even take caffeine. And I don't do research chemicals anymore, and haven't for years. Try again kiddo. -

Yeah they do. They want to know what you've done your whole life to know what kind of person you were. I have adopted family members. It isn't an easy process and people get denied all the time.
Most people weren't smoking a shit load of meth. -

Originally posted by HTS I only ever got arrested during a period of particularly poor mental health in my early 20s. A handful of times over one 6 month period, in the middle of 28 years of not getting arrested. I haven't been arrested for many years since, and I'll probably never be arrested again.
Lmao, yeah... -

Originally posted by HTS It's definitely a tick in the negative column but it wouldn't outright preclude me from adopting a kid. I can get my crimes pardoned too, and if I don't commit any more crimes (and become more financially stable) we could probably adopt in our mid-30s. 😊
IF you get it expunged.
And then they'll ask what the fuck you were doing from 18-mid 30's
Which is sitting around doing drugs and getting arrested -

Originally posted by Ghost I have been working full time since I was 16 years old and moved out and had my own place when I was 17 and got a girl pregnant a year later and almost became a manager at a store and bought a house but I decided that life wasn't for me and chose a different path
Yeah... Not impressive to the adoption agency. -

Originally posted by Technologist I may have to if she’s as stingy with pain meds as they say.
Sucks that this is even a thing now. Even 10 pills would help a lot for most surgeries and its very low risk. Nobody but a former addict will become dependent on such amounts.
This is why Crouton is gaining massive popularity lol. Combined with the fact that you can't really overdose on it? It's some magic shit for anyone needing low tier opioids. -

Originally posted by Ghost I don't agree with forcing someone to be transgender but some kids have hardcore dysphoria and become very unhappy and confused being treated like their birth gender
Like Blair white she was only 6 years old and only had female friends and her family tried to make sense of it by saying she was a player with girlfriends at 6yo.
But it's only 1% of the population so idk why you're so buthurt over them
Look i dont care if 5 year old boys wanna wear a dress or do their hair up.
But drugs and surgery introduce irreversible changes to a developing body, and children are in no position to be making such choices. Many come to regret it or are simply thinking such things because they got bullied or pushed into it by parents/teachers trying to be "progressive"
I support these things in adults. It's just the terms used that I think are scientifically illogical and made up to make people feel better about themselves. I have no problem with adults doing whatever they want to their bodies. They should legally be able to implant fur and an extra penis, and pretend to be a koala if they want. But I'm also not going to pretend that they ARE an actual koala. -

Why not
That's what psychologists are for
Because hts is on disability for mental illness, and has a criminal record of holding knives to people's necks while on meth, and scron is on welfare as well. Usually you have to prove financial and psychological stability and they definitely don't have that. It's not easy to adopt a kid. -

Sugar and salt and more sugar and salt.
Used to be on a diet of broth for weeks after surgery as a kid and this is reminding me of how shit that was. -
