Not really. This was in May last year, the war had been going on nearly 3 months (which felt like a long time) and the flow of people had reversed - instead of fleeing in panic everyone was going back into Ukraine. I had a train ticket booked to Kiev, but when I got to Przemysl I seen all the Ukrainian people queuing up to go back and I felt really sad and depressed and sorry for everyone, and I felt that I couldn't cope with being in a packed train with loads of refugees, and I felt guilty and like a tourist and a gawker at a tragedy.
I spoke to GG and she said she'd come to Poland, so I decided not to go to Kiev at all.
It was kinda a pussy out and a cope. She came to Krakow by bus, we had an OK holiday. It was her first time abroad. Then she wouldn't come to Ireland, and instead went back to Kiev, again by bus.

I only know what's easy in Northern Ireland. Drug possession, esp for minors. I've done coke in the streets while the peelers drove past. You don't get shot if you have a knife or for anything really. I threatened someone with a knife here and the police were called, nothing happened and I don't have a record. In America some kid did the same thing and was shot dead. When my dad burned down his house the police came and he shouted at them to fuck off, nothing happened and they left. It's easy to get away with rape here sadly. A lot of victims don't come forward because the police have to look through your phone and sometimes they don't take you seriously. My friend was raped by her mum's boyfriend for a decade, since she was 8. She told the police and they didn't believe her.

Wondering what I'll do if the exam goes badly. In the past I jumped on a coach to Dublin and got drunk and sat by the docs eating Supermacs. Another time threw my textbook into ditch and went to a butterfly house. Their lives are short so it puts things into perspective.
