there's really not too much to talk about at the moment, Wagner's making extremely slow progress through Bakhmut, LDNR forces are trying to push Avdeevka, AFU have had to retreat from Kherson (lol) because they've spent the last few months demolishing it and every time they try to enter the Russians pound them from the other side of the river.
most western reports seem to think that the conflict will be frozen until winter's over but I doubt it - most major Soviet offensives were during winter, and I believe things will start moving faster once the remainder of the 300k reserves hit the frontline (which should be in the next few weeks).

Given how vladimir putin a year ago was extremely powerful, why didn't he use his spy network/assasins/special ops to assasinate zelensky BEFORE this whole thing started? Zelensky doesn't have any real power; the fact that he was an actor is no accident. He was originally elected on the platform of repairing relations with Russia, formalising and ratifying the Minsk and Frankfurt agreements, but when he tried he was rebuked by the real power inside the state - hardline nationalist political parties like Svoboda and Privy Sektor, and oligarchs with business interests to protect like Poroshenko and Kolomoisky.
Now the west, specifically the intelligence services of the US and UK has assumed direct control of most political and military decision making. Killing him now or then would've just changed the face of the government, not any real power centres.

there's no way to really know what the interception rate would be but I don't think it'd be quite that high.
the only part of the US nuclear triad that's really still credible is submarines. instead of large ICBMs they're being retrofitted to carry swarms of nuclear-capable cruise missiles (which can be launched partially-submerged), the goal being to pop up near the Russian coast and hit targets before the launches even show up on radar. it's the same policy they're pursuing in Europe, which is in part what led to the Ukraine war - they know they're lagging behind in missile and anti-missile tech so they've been trying to station strategic weapons as close as possible to the border.

Russia's dropped the 'grain corridor' agreement since that drone attack on Sevastopol came from the demilitarised area it covered; they claim the sea drones were deployed from a civilian ship. The original reason for the corridor to be opened were the claims that poorer countries (Africa, middle east) would face famine with the drop in exports, but as it turns out around 90% of the grain exported went to the EU to drive their prices down anyway.
For all the people the AFU's been feeding to Russian artillery, they haven't been able to move the control lines at all - in fact, Russian forces (mostly LDNR and Wagner, as they're still waiting on at least 200k of the 300k reinforcements) are on the offensive in northern Donetsk.
