But I got a new car so I posted today. It’s like no one is really talking to each other here anymore at least that’s how it seems lately. 💤💤💤🥱

It’s not necessarily evil. Any practicing Wiccan will warn you about the perils of putting evil out there. Consider quantum entanglement, which says that objects can influence each other in unseen ways. Everything in the universe is energy, including your thoughts and emotions, which are energy in motion. So, in essence, everything we do creates a corresponding energy that comes back to us in some form. Simply, everything we do creates either a positive or negative consequence, according to the laws of physics.
My mother has practiced witchcraft since I was a child, I was bullied in school because of her beliefs and practices. I think it forced me to try and understand the practices.
She says there’s been a large increase in interest in Wicca over the past few years.
She thinks the proliferation of witchcraft reflects two timeless and universal urges: the need to draw meaning from chaos, and the desire to control the circumstances around us. With the dire catastrophes brought on by the chaos in the world today, global climate changes, wars and the loss of rights, it’s not surprising that witchcraft appeals to people seeking to mend what’s broken in themselves and the world around them.
Like anything else the commercialization and the selling of DIY spell kits and pagan altar knock offs trivialize sacred practices. There’s so much more to it than buying a kit from Etsy or Amazon and watching a few YouTube videos.
