Is it just the shared cultural values of the characters? That doesn't seem 100% realistic to me.
Is the belief in God a form of shared psychosis in the Bible? Like a group of people going completely insane because of their fixation on this one thing? I can't imagine going so crazy over something I can't see, but, with the exception of those sects who decided the end times were coming, it doesn't seem to have worked out too badly for them. -

Put another, more extreme way, would you take a steak away from a dog? In theory a truly moral person would, because there is a moral obligation not to eat meat. Therefore it's like if the dog was trying to eat your friend, you have a moral obligation to intervene. -

Germany has both the brains and the will, if left alone, to challenge America on the world stage, or to ally with Russia or China against America.
